Essential curriculum

What you will learn

The Power Apps syllabus and professional AI workflow are combined into six stages, from identifying the right process to publishing a maintainable solution.

01

AI productivity and process discovery

Identify repetitive tasks, map inputs and decisions, write effective prompts, define review points, and choose where AI adds value without replacing professional judgment.

02

Planning a low-code business solution

Understand Canvas, model-driven, and portal concepts; define users, data, screens, and flow; and choose a realistic use case such as expenses, leave, inventory, or feedback.

03

Building Canvas Apps

Create screens, forms, galleries, buttons, dropdowns, and text inputs; apply Power Fx logic with If, Switch, Patch, and Filter; and design a usable interface.

04

Data, Dataverse, and integrations

Connect Excel, SharePoint, SQL, and Dataverse; work with tables, relationships, lookups, collections, and variables; and plan reliable data storage.

05

Power Automate workflows

Trigger flows from an app, route approvals, send email and Teams notifications, update records, and create clear success and exception paths.

06

Security, responsive design, and deployment

Configure app sharing and roles, design for mobile and desktop, manage versions and backups, publish to Teams or web, and connect Power Apps with Power BI.
